I kinda freaked out because I haven’t posted anything in a while so I worked on a quick collage that ended up pretty cool. It’s funny how these things seem to take on a life of their own. When I sat down I just started of by flipping through magazines and some links. I ended up choosing two images that seemingly had nothing to do with each other.
Once I had the images digitized the way I wanted them I began to think about content for the collage. I came up with the title “When light falls you can see the next phase.” I thought this was interesting because I had created something that was very dark and used minimal elements to create an illumination within the collage. Its like a graphic poem that just looks for a small bit of emotion and doesn’t try to tell you too much.
Here at the office we are working on a few agency projects to keep us motivated. We work on this stuff day and night. After a while you start to get caught up in the day to day grind and loose sight of why we do this job in the first place!
Our first project is a simple application for Facebook and iPhone that will involve some pretty cool voting and gallery sharing. We are planning on starting with the Facebook platform then evolving to iPhone.
Here is our first stab at the design. We are hoping to get into a prototype pretty soon. But of course this is in our spare time while working on the work that keeps the lights on. The biggest worry about this one is keeping it in design for too long and loosing the interest of the developer!
So here we are, back in blogland. Hopefully I can keep this one going and focus on ideas and thoughts as they come, instead of getting caught up in finished projects. This time I plan on writing about the aspects of my work that aren’t always representative of the finished product. So this means a lot of sketches and random ramblings about process and most likely some thoughts on the industry.
So lets get this first post out of the way and get some work up here. No matter how dirty.
